The Costs of Making a PCP Claim

The Costs of Making a PCP Claim

Is This a "No Win, No Fee" Service?

Yes. Our service is offered on a No Win, No Fee basis. This means you will only pay if your claim is successful.

However, there is an important update regarding Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) fees.

Changes to FOS Fees – What You Need to Know

Currently, the FOS does not charge a fee for consumer claims. However, it has proposed a new fee structure:

  • A £250 fee per claim if submitted through a firm like ours.
  • If the claim is successful, £175 of this fee will be refunded, but FOS will keep £75.
  • If the claim is unsuccessful, the full £250 may need to be paid by the consumer.

We are working to secure insurance coverage to protect our clients from this potential cost, and we will update you if this change is implemented.

How Much Are the Legal Fees If I Win?

Legal costs are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Our fees are based on a percentage of your compensation:

Compensation Awarded (£)Percentage ChargedMaximum Fee (£)
1 – 1,49930%420
1,500 – 9,99928%2,500
10,000 – 24,99925%5,000
25,000 – 49,99920%7,500
50,000 and above15%10,000

For example, if you receive £1,200 in compensation, the legal fee would be £360 (30% of £1,200), which is lower than the maximum charge of £420.
